VISAGES DE PORCEL(AI)NE is presented at G.MAP in the UCCN Pavilion of the 16th Gwangju Biennale.
The exhibition, Mondiacult Scape: Nothing of the Cities is lost, brings together ten artists to explore urban memory, cultural heritage and the voices that persist through change. Its curatorial presentation is signed by Kim Hana, G.MAP curator.
Formed by around ten UNESCO Creative Cities, the pavilion consortium connects cultural preservation with contemporary artistic practice. The UCCN Pavilion is listed in the Biennale’s official pavilion programme.
Created in collaboration with Limoges, a UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art, the six video portraits mark the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France. The work belongs to the City of Limoges collection.
At G.MAP, living porcelain faces place material memory in motion: cracks, repairs and transformations become part of identity. Six simultaneous screens bring human presence, ceramic heritage and artificial image-making into dialogue.
