SPAMM

An international virtual museum of digital art, a post-Internet curatorial platform and a borderless exhibition network.

Founded in 2011 by Systaime with Thomas Cheneseau, SPAMM is a contemporary art museum conceived natively for the Internet. Its principle is simple: to show digital practices in their own environment, without reducing them to documentation or the margins of the art world.

SPAMM imagines a museum without walls, simultaneously online and in physical space. It organises exhibitions, pavilions, encounters and collaborations, circulating works between screens, galleries, schools, festivals, museums and social networks. Its programme brings together artists working with image, code, video, games, networks, performance, the web and every hybrid form of contemporary creation.

Independent and international, SPAMM is grounded in direct exchange between artists, curators and audiences. It champions freedom to experiment, multiple formats and the ability of digital artists to build their own spaces for circulation and exhibition.

A MUSEUM WITHOUT WALLS.

SPAMM connects artists, curators, galleries, schools and museums in a shared distributed exhibition space. The screen is not secondary documentation: it is the place of the museum.
